EFE promises unique Malaysian design

The annual Export Furniture Exhibition (EFE) returns to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from 9–12th March. Held in conjunction with the Malaysian Furniture Week, the international furniture fair is the signature event of the Malaysian Furniture Council (MFC), and is organised by EFE Expo, a fully-owned subsidiary of MFC.

EFE 2018 attracted more than 10,000 international trade buyers, and visitors from 140 countries.

Established in 2005, EFE remains one of Asia's most distinctive channels for regional and international companies looking to penetrate the global market – EFE 2019 will offer a comprehensive range of furniture from more than 350 exhibitors from Malaysia and the surrounding region. The exhibition boasts nine halls, covering a gross area of 35,000 sqm and featuring a good number of new exhibitors.

To make it a holistic event, design initiatives accompany the offer. The Professional Designers Programme (PDP), an exclusive design showcase where well-known foreign furniture designers from Italy and Belgium, together with local designers from Tanggam (MTIB), will display innovative and creative furniture designs, while the Malaysian Furniture Creativity Award (MFC Award) will recognise companies for their creativity in furniture design.

A hosted buyers package is also available to some first-time overseas visitors.
